Recount Writing-I went to the park.

WALT add details to help our readers understand our story.

I am also adding interesting words, talking, similes, feelings and thoughts.

I went to the park.

On Sunday afternoon I went to the park with my family and the park was in Kaikohe.

I felt fantastic because I like going to the park.

When we got to the park we saw lots of people and lots of things to play on. I said, “Hmmm what should I play on first, maybe the swing?” I jumped on the the swing. I went as high as a bird. I felt amazing.

Next I went on the slide and I said, “Weee! I can go down fast. This is fun” I felt excellent

After that I went on the monkeybars. I felt like I was Tarzan. I was swinging and swinging.I felt terrific. Then we had to go home so we went in the car and drove home. What an awesome time at the park.

Going to Kaikohe

On Friday morning my mum said we had to go to town.

Me and Chace bolted to the car. We opened the door and jumped into our seats. My mum was driving. We were going to Kaikohe to have lunch and look around in Kaikohe. We were going to 118 Broadway and Coin Save. When we got there we got out of the car and I dashed into 118 Broadway. The first thing I saw was little toy armies. I said to Chace, “Hey Chace look at this.” The next thing I saw was bubbles and then guns but they were fake. Another thing I saw was a Ben Ten chess game. After looking around for a little while we went in to Coin Save. Me and Chace looked at the toys. I saw lego Star Wars and I saw more bubbles.  Next we went to have lunch so me and Chace walked to the car and my mum drove to LJs. I felt joyful. I was having sushi. I had three and Chace had three. We both had chocolate shakes and Chace had chips. When we were finished eating. We walked out and I said, “Yummy.” We went in the car and drove home.

Going to K’mart

On a sunny Friday I went to Kmart with my family.

First in Kmart I looked at all of the shoes then I walked away from the shoes and looked at the lollies. I asked my mum if I could get some lollies and she said, “Yes.”

We said, “Thanks Mum.

Next I looked at a huge trampoline. It looked as big as four lions stacked on top of each other. After that I was looking at the balls. Then I looked at the clothes. I really liked the t shirts. Then I looked at the lego  and near the lego and I saw two robots. They looked cool because there was a blue robot and there was a red robot.

Later on my mum said we had to go so I bolted to my mum and we walked out to car.

I had a great time shopping with my family and I liked the lollies. They were sweet.
