Explanation Writing Structure

So what has been done to solve the plastic pollution problem?

Beginning/Introduction.

WALT identify some language features of explain writing.
Plastic Pollution is killing sea life, seabirds and other sea animals there is to much plastic in the world it even gets sent to the landfill and floats away into the water which kills the sea animals.
So what has been done to solve the plastic pollution problem?
The first thing people have been doing to solve the plastic pollution problem is using a litter less lunch box. People are not using big bags of chips with mini chip packets. People are grabbing big bags so it wont send that much rubbish to the landfill.
 Another thing to solve the plastic pollution problem is people don’t use plastic bags they use cotton bags. If people throw a plastic bag into the water turtles will think it’s a jelly-fish so they will eat it.
The last thing to solve the plastic pollution problem is that people are sending the plastic to a factory so they can turn it into shoes furniture and clothes and there will be less plastic in the world. The sea animals will no longer die from Plastic Pollution. So our world will be a safe and better world.
So in conclusion sealife are dying from the plastic pollution problem but people are trying their best to solve the problem so our world will be safe.

Recount Writing - My Birthday

 My Birthday.
On a warm Saturday morning I woke up and said, “It’s my birthday.”
I said to my mum, “Are we still going to mini golf?”
My mum said, “Yes we are.” I said with excitement, “I can’t wait till we go to mini golf.”
I ran fast as a cheetah straight into the car.   Me, my two brothers and my mum and dad all went into the car all dressed up.
My mum said, “Remember we're going to Kingwah tonight.”
Me and my brothers said, “Oh yeah I remember that.” So we drove all the way to mini golf in Kerikeri.  When we were there I jumped out of the car. My mum and dad and brothers
walked out of the car and we walked in. There was a man standing there. We had to give the money to him so he grabbed a club and gave one club to me and one club for both of my brothers and one for my dad and mum. I felt excited to start mini golf. So we even got a ball they were different colors. I got a yellow ball. My mum got a pink one. My dad got the real one, the white one. Tristan got blue. Chace got a red one. We walked to the first playing area. Chace went first. He whacked his ball and he hit the side of the wall and it bounced backwards and forwards. So then it was my turn. I whacked my ball and said quietly, “Please get a hole in one. Please get a hole in one.” I missed.
I said out loudly, “Nooo!” Then it was my mum’s turn. She hit her ball then her one missed. So my dad had a turn. He missed as well. So Tristan hit his ball so hard that it came all the way back. There were 13 places to hit the ball in. Throughout the whole game Tristan got a hole in one two times, I got it once, my mum got it 2 times as well. My dad got it 2 times and Chace got it once. When we finished the game we drove to Kingwah. When we got there It just opened. Then we walked in. I sat on the chair inside. I said, “I wonder what kind of yummy foods are in here?” Then I said, “Hey mum there's an ice cream machine. I hope it’s not cold as ice. I might have it for dessert.” So we walked to get the hot food. I grabbed some chips. They were as hot as fire so I grabbed them with a fork. There were even these crackers. They were different colors but they still tasted yummy. We all got some food. All the food was so hot. I even grabbed a chip. It was so hot I dropped it and said out loud, “Oww!” My dad got us a drink. It was fanta. When we finished dinner me, Tristan and Chace went to get an ice cream. There were lollies and small biscuits and I saw some chocolate sauce. Me and Tristan got some ice cream with chocolate. It tasted like the Sunday from Mcdonalds. It was so yummy.

Recount Writing

25.07.18.
At Luna Park
On a super sunny Sunday I hopped out of my bed and said out loud,
“Can we go to Luna park today please? I really wanted to see what it looked like.
All those cool rides. I didn’t know what they really looked like.
My brothers said with excitement, “We want to see what it looks like too.”
My mum said, “I guess there’s nothing else to do.”
Then I jumped in the car and I thought I wonder what the rides will look like.
So when we got there I raced out of the car and said, “There’s the sign.” It said Luna Park.
We walked through the gates. I was so excited.
There were long stairs that led down to Luna Park. I walked down the stairs.
It was already kind of tiring. Next we went inside the entrance. It’s like a mouth.
So we took some photos of the mouth. I walked in fast because I was so excited.
We went to get these tickets that allow you to go on the rides.
When we got them we  thought which ride should we go on first.
I shouted, “Bumper cars!” I ran in speeding like lightning and my brothers ran in like cheetahs.
There were lots of people waiting for a ride so when we had our rides I got so freaked out.
My car was going BUMP! CRASH!
It just kept crashing because I didn’t know how to drive those cars but it was fun anyway.
Then me and Chace went to the roller coaster.
As it started going faster and faster we got so scared.
It felt like we were going off all the edges.
It was going straight and it didn’t look like it was going to stop.
We were glad when the roller coaster stopped. “That was too fast for me,” I said.
After a while me and Tristan saw this thing called the hair razor.
The line was not so long. I thought to myself, “Maybe lots of people might be scared of it.”
So when we went on it we were slowly going up and up and I saw my family.
I waved down at my mum dad and brother. Suddenly we felt like we were falling.
I was so scared. It felt like you’re in the sky and you just fall to the bottom.
It went BANG! I was a bit dizzy. My mum said, “Are you okay?” I couldn't really hear her.
When she said it the second time I heard better.
The next ride we went on was called the crawler or spider.
I didn’t really know what it was called but it was still very scary.
My favorite one was the bumper cars because you can knock other cars around.
The other rides were just scary. Really scary I mean.

Bucket Filling - Explanation Writing

WALT use the correct structure and language to write an explanation text. 
 Bucket Filling 
A bucket filler everyone has an invisible bucket. Your friends have a bucket. Your parents as well. In their bucket there should be kind feelings and nice feelings. If you’re going to fill a person's bucket it means you’re going to say nice words and make other people happy and feel safe. So this is how it works. If you say nice things to other people like please and thank you they will be happy because they feel safe. You can even respect new people so their bucket will get filled. If you be nice and do nice things to other people their bucket will be filled with kindness and happiness, even yours. If everyone is filling each other’s bucket everyone will be nice because this world will be a bucket filling world.

Being Friends - Explanation Writing

Being friends 
Friendship is when you care about each other. Friendship is when you be a friend with another person. Friendship is helping other people feel happy and safe. Being a good friend means you're going to be nice and you will be respecting them because that will make them happy. Being a good friend means you're going to listen to your friend so that they will feel good. A good friend means you're going to share with them. It’s cool having a friend because you will have someone to play with and you'll have someone to talk to.
